Pastor William A. Thomas, III planted
a smile on his parents’ faces when he
blossomed into the world alongside his
twin sister Briana Thomas on July 9,
1993.  Pastor Bill Thomas and the late
Pastor Brigette Thomas immediately
noticed their only son’s glow.

Being the only boy in the family,
Pastor Will quickly earned the name,
“golden child.” Pastor Will even at a
young age strove to stand out amongst
not only his sisters but amongst his
peers as well.

At the age of 5 he announced to the congregation of Galilee Baptist
Church during a career day event that he would one day be a Pastor. There is no doubt that Pastor Will has been called and anointed by God to shepherd his people.

Pastor Will was licensed and ordained the Assistant Pastor on January 5, 2014 by his father, Senior Pastor of Open Bible Ministries (OBM). Since the ordination Pastor Will has jumped full force into his call to ministry. While attending Greensboro College, he created his very own Christian youth organization, Christ Rules Everything Around Me (C.R.E.A.M.) where he leads bible study on campus every Thursday. Taking on the role of leadership has never been an issue for the young knowledgeable Pastor who is an
All- Conference Football Player, a member of the USA South
All-Academic Team, a Board Member of the United African
American Society, former Village 401 Community Service
Coordinator, and a member of Student Christian Fellowship.

While exercising the blessing to be a college student,
Pastor Will knows it is important to be an active well-rounded student even as he majors in Religion and minors in Church Leadership. He will graduate with a bachelor’s degree in May 2015.  He received his high school diploma from Thomas Stone High School in June 2011. Pastor Will is a busy body but, being busy on campus does not interfere with his work for the Kingdom. He is a member of the OBM Mime Ministry and has planned several C.R.E.A.M. events; one of which being the C.R.E.A.M. catwalk that gives youth from all 3 OBM locations the opportunity to strut, glide, and be models for Christ.

Pastor Will is ready to walk in the footsteps of his father by upholding the vision of Open Bible Ministries that his parents founded and manifested. Support the legacy.
